I am a professional violinist and violin teacher based in St. Paul, Minnesota. I teach from my private home studio in the Battle Creek neighborhood of East St. Paul. I welcome you to peruse my website and find out more about me.
Violin lessons for beginners - I teach beginners of all ages. There is no age limit to learning a new skill, such as playing the violin, and deriving enjoyment from creating beautiful music and developing an appreciation for string music.
Violin lessons for children - Selecting the right teacher for your child is of critical importance. The ideal violin teacher will help children establish a solid foundation of violin technique and also motivate them to reach their full potential as well as inspire them as a musicians. Teaching styles and personalities differ so it is important to learn the background and method of a teacher and meet him or her in person.
Group classes for children - Currently I am teaching two group classes on Saturday morning; Beginning Twinklers and Suzuki Book 1. In the group class the students play songs together and perform solos for each other. Skills that are taught in the private lesson are reinforced and I also teach theory, solfeggio (singing music with syllables, do, re, mi, etc.), ear training (recognizing intervals and singing them), rhythm, and music history. Group lessons are not required but enhance the children's musical experience and enable them to develop a well rounded understanding of music. There are openings in both classes and whenever possible I will start new groups.

I also teach early in the morning before school and during the day for home schooled students and adults. I would love to meet you and your child and answer any questions you might have.
